46281On Monday, Pendragon, in conjunction with Oz Migration and the Hills Shire Council, were invited to present to a group of American students in relation to the demographics of Australia and the local area as well the statistics and facts about immigration to Australia.

Professor Michael Jones along with his class from the University of Cincinnati – Lindner College of Business, are visited Australia to further expand their studies and explore the factors that affect economic performance of migrants, the aggregate consequences of migration on the labour market within Australia and the USA.

The Hills Shire Council was kind enough to lend us a room for the presentation, with Stephen Garrard talking to the students about the statistics and demographics of the local Hills Shire area, and our own Kelli Wintle, migration specialist from Pendragon’s sister company Oz Migration, giving a great presentation on 457 Visas and Employee Nomination Scheme (ENS) for Permanent Residence.
As we had Australian, USA and UK representation in the room, there was a robust and fun discussion had by all around the different nations and how we deal with immigration. BREXIT and Donald Trump were discussed, as well as Australia’s own immigration rules and thoughts.

With such an open discussion, it was very interesting to listen to the different thoughts and beliefs around immigration, artificial intelligence, and unemployment from the representatives of the various countries. It was great fun and provided excellent relationship building between all concerned. We look forward to the next one.
